How to Fix the Leak: A Human-Centric Approach

1. Parallelize, Don't Sequence: Why run your safety checks after the model finishes? Run them as the tokens stream in. If something's wrong, kill the stream. Don't make the user wait for the verdict.
2. The "Optimistic" UI: Show the user what’s happening. Instead of a generic spinner, show "Searching internal docs..." or "Refining answer..." Transparency buys you patience.
3. Edge Logic: Move your basic formatting and PII scrubbing to the edge (closer to the user) rather than burying it in a heavy Python backend.
4. Slim Down the Prompt: We often bloat our middleware with "System Prompts" that are 2,000 words long. Every token the model has to read before it speaks is a millisecond of lag.

Looking Ahead: The 2026 Standard

As we move into 2026, the "novelty" of AI is gone. Users won't forgive slowness just because the tech is "cool." We are entering the era of Invisible AI.
