Force your brain to form a hypothesis. Even if you eventually use the AI to help, your brain will have a hook to hang that information on because you tried to solve it yourself first.

2. The "Explain It Like I’m Five" Examination

But a mathematician still needs to understand calculus even if they use a computer to do the heavy lifting. As engineers, we must remain the masters of the logic. We must stay curious. We must stay frustrated. Because in that frustration, in that long night of debugging, is where the true senior engineer is born.
