Own Your Channels

The rule is simple. The goroutine that creates the channel is the one that closes the channel. Don't leave it to the consumer. Don't try to close it from multiple writers. That's how you get a "send on closed channel" panic.

Stop Hating Mutexes

Somewhere along the line, Go devs decided sync.Mutex was evil and channels were the only way to share state. That's completely wrong. Sometimes a simple mutex is faster, cleaner, and way easier to read than a massive web of channel passing. Use channels to pass data. Use mutexes to protect internal state. Keep it simple.
